Precision parts plating, heat treating, degreasing or ultrasonic cleaning requires both a specific opening and basket design. A large wire mesh and perforated metal inventory in carbon, stainless, and high temperature alloys allows for timely and cost effective fabrications in both small quantity and large run orders.

Baskets may be designed with pickups, hoists, compartments or tiers, removable or hinged covers, fine mesh linings, and stacking or nesting handles.

NOTE WHEN ORDERING:

1. STYLE: Specify alloy required (Plain Steel, Stainless Steel T304, T316, etc.) with style. Include handle type.

2. DIMENSIONS: Specify inside or outside dimensions. Note whether dimensions include the handle if a swing or Kreider handle is needed. Handles may also be vertical, horizontal or stacking.

3. MESH: Specify number of mesh, wire diameter, opening size. Include the process of acid used and max. weight capacity.

4. ROD or BAR: Smith Wire uses 1/4", 5/16" or 3/8" rod depending on the dimensions and weight requirements. If you are requesting prices on an existing basket, specify rod used. Bar is usually .063 or .125.
